Our Club

With a history stretching back over 125 years to its formation in 1894, Duns Golf Club offers its members and visitors a true modern day golfing experience.

The course is widely admired for its beautiful Scottish Borders setting providing spectacular scenery stretching out over the Tweed valley to the Cheviot Hills in Northumberland. It is recognised as offering a challenging, yet fair and enjoyable test to all levels of golfer. If you are visiting the Scottish Borders, then this is a must play course.

Our ethos is to offer our members, guests and visitors a pleasurable golfing experience accompanied at all times by an amicable and welcoming environment. We look forward to seeing you!

Members

The Club has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere which attracts members of all ages and golfing abilities. There are thriving sections for Ladies, Gents, Seniors and Juniors to enjoy regular and varied competitions, with ample opportunity too for those less competitive leisure golfers. On the social side of things, regular fun charity events are run by our ‘Putts and Pints Crew’.

Visitors

If you are visiting the area, then this is a must play course. Tastefully sculpted out of the Scottish Border hills, the layout takes full advantage of its location. There are five par 3’s, the 15th being our signature hole. There are a number of risk and reward holes and some true par 5’s to complete an intriguing round of golf.

The Clubhouse

Completed in 2006, our Clubhouse has well appointed facilities including changing areas, a bar and licensed restaurant. There is a terrace overlooking the 18th green where members, visitors and friends can mingle whilst watching the last few shots of golfers finishing their round.

Sit back and enjoy a drink wherever it suits you, inside or out. Our caterers provide an ever changing menu of sandwiches, snacks and meals – including that morning bacon roll before hitting the course.

Also available for hire, The Clubhouse has hosted all kinds of family events from hatched and matched to despatched, as well as quiz nights, race nights and gin tastings.

The Management

The Club is managed by a volunteer Management Committee who work hard to achieve the Club’s objective of enabling golfers of all abilities to visit and experience something special when they choose to spend time with us.

Duns Golf Club offers visitors and members alike an all-round golfing experience. Whether you are looking to visit or join the Club, a very warm welcome awaits. You will find that Duns Golf Club is a lot more than just 18 holes!
