
COURSE ETIQUETTE
Play without delay.
Do not move, talk or stand too close when a player is playing his shot.
Keep an eye on the line of each player's shot so that you can help to find their ball quickly.
If you have to look for a ball ask the players behind to play through.
Walk directly to your ball and do not wander along.
Get ready to play your next shot while the others are playing.
Be ready to hit your shot immediately they have played.
At the green leave your clubs at the side of the green where you will be walking to the next tee.
Do not lay your bag on the green or wheel your caddy car across the green.
Line up your putt while the others are playing and be ready to putt as soon as it is your turn. Do not mark short putts unnecessarily.
Putt out if you can or, unless playing in medal competitions, short putts should be conceded to speed up play.
When you have putted out move immediately off the green to let the players behind play their shots.
Move away from the green before marking your card.
Single players must let other matches through.
If you fall behind the players in front you must ask the players behind to play through. If you cut out some of the holes you must not hold up players playing a full round.
Be careful when taking a practice swing that you do not damage the course.
At the tee take your practice swing off the tee.
Replace all divots.
When walking into a bunker go into the back of the bunker and do not climb up or down the face of the bunker.
Sand in bunkers should be smoothed or raked after you have played your shot and the rake should be left in the bunker.
Repair pitch marks and spike marks on the greens.
Remove the flag when you are putting out.
Do not hook the ball out of the hole with your putter.
Be careful not to damage the green or the hole in any way.
Replace the flag carefully.
