Clubgolf returns for 2017

Published: Sunday 26 February 2017

Clubgolf was introduced by the Scottish Golf Union with a view of giving every school child the opportunity to try the sport of golf. Open to any child between the ages of 6 and 16 it gives the participants the opportunity to develop their golfing skills through putting, chipping, pitching and full swing.

Qualified PGA Level 1 coaches will carry out the coaching. These coaches have been vetted through the Protection of Vulnerable Groups legislation as well as having attended Protection and Safeguarding of Children courses.

Besides the “Introductory” sessions there will be planned blocks of coaching sessions throughout May/June and August/September. Each session will cost £3.

If the child does not have clubs or golf balls don’t worry as these can be supplied. All we ask is that they come along with sturdy flat soled shoes/trainers and are wrapped up or have warm clothing with them if the weather is cold or wet.
